We're both quite health conscious and wanted a relatively healthy selection, so chose Antipodean cafe Beany Greens. Nestled in the middle layer of the newly opened Broadgate
Circle, Beany Greens injects a pop of colour into the otherwise relatively grey
surroundings.
Upbeat music blasts inside and tables are adorned with bananas as well as fresh colourful flowers. Deckchairs line the balcony, which overlooks the piazza – this place is made for people watching!
Beany Greens serve healthy favourites like broccoli bread, avocado on rye and fresh smoothies, it's like a sanctuary in the city – you almost forget you’re in London.
I chose the broccoli bread, Alex went for broccoli & corn fritters (we like broccoli ok?) and we split the banana bread.
Check out that yolk!

We may have also had a couple of Bellini’s, we were celebrating after all!
The food was delicious; we especially loved the chilli pesto and the tofu mayonnaise. Though my favourite was definitely the (award winning) banana bread sandwich. Soft, sweet, with chunks of walnuts and banana pieces dotted throughout it was probably the best I’ve come across.
The staff are lovely and super helpful, if you're looking for somewhere to have brunch, lunch or even post work cocktails I can't recommend it enough. I'll be back soon that's for sure!
