PB&J energy balls

I absolutely adore energy balls, they're the perfect afternoon pick me up or post workout snack. I'm forever experimenting with different flavours, but this has to be one of my favourite yet - peanut butter and raspberry. Maca is a great addition to this recipe as it adds an almost caramel like flavour, plus it has so many amazing health benefits such as increasing energy levels as well as helping to regulate hormonal and adrenal functioning.

65g cashew nuts 
40g almond meal 
3 tbsp peanut butter 
150g pitted medjool dates 
A pinch of pink himalayan sea salt 
2-3 tsp maca powder
Dehydrated raspberry pieces / powder

Put the cashews into your food processor and process until they form a meal. Add the almond meal, salt and maca then add the dates a couple at a time along with the peanut butter and process until the mixture sticks together.

Roll the mixture into balls - it should yield around 14. Roll the balls in raspberry powder/pieces and put in fridge to set.
