Glasserie, Brooklyn

Glasserie is another place that was recommended as a must visit, so we headed there on our first day in NYC for weekend brunch.

The menu of this Middle Eastern eatery is pretty simple , which makes deciding what to have easy – we went for the mezze feast and split a big plate. Having forgotten to ask, I was slightly concerned that the mezze would be very meat heavy, but surprisingly it was all vegetarian. I think the offerings change daily, dependent upon what produce is available and in season, but here's what we had!

(Clockwise from top left) Pickled root vegetables, tahini with herb oil, olives, pickled beetroot, cucumber and egg salad, labneh, coriander carrots, houmous topped with chickpeas and fresh garlic, grilled green beans with feta and huge thyme flatbreads to dip.

We then split the griddle bread for pudding (I say split, D had one mouthful). The food was honestly incredible and it was definitely one of my favourite meals of the week. If you're in Brooklyn, make sure you check it out!
