Jaz & Jul's

When I was invited to try out the new brunch menu at Jaz & Jul's, I quite literally jumped at the chance. Chocolate themed brunch? Yes please!

Jaz & Jul's is super close to Angel tube station, on quiet Chapel Market, right next to The Little Viet Kitchen. It serves a million different flavoured drinking chocolates, loads of chocolatey treats, and now, weekend brunch. We decided to order a few different things to share so that we could try everything. We went for a smoothie bowl, savoury waffles and sweet waffles.

The chocolate smoothie bowl was so delicious and creamy, although quite small so best to order it with something else, unless you're not that hungry.

For the savoury waffles we had black bean chocolate chilli and avocado. The chilli was just the right amount of spicy, and went perfectly with fresh avocado and crispy waffles.

The real winner though, was the chocolate-stout waffles, topped with banana, chocolate sauce and crushed peanuts. They come drizzled with melted chocolate, with a little pot of warm chocolate to pour over the top, should you require more (always). I may or may not have started wiping the chocolate off the plate with my finger, before remembering where I was.

As if that wasn't enough, I also snuck a little bit of rocky road, for the road, and I wasn't disappointed.

I think the best part about brunch, was the fact that it was all totally vegan. Granted, vegan doesn't automatically equal healthy, but Jaz & Jul's, shows that you don't have to compromise on delicious food by choosing veganism. You can find Jaz & Jul's here.
